Wow. Fascinating. Turns out it's probably not the Gulf Stream keeping Northern Europe warm. I'm not usually into science, but I do find atmospheric science interesting. The author debunks the mini-Ice Age effect of global warming as well.

Re global warming, all I can say is I'm glad I won't be alive after the mid-century mark. I don't want to see it.

Aww, too bad. I'd always had a romantic attachment to the notion that sunny Florida was exporting nice weather to Scotland, the land of my ancestors (before they up and moved to Florida).

Don't worry too much. Earth is going to be fine, once it shakes humans off like a bad case of fleas. All these people screaming about saving the environment should realize that it's not about saving the planet. It's about saving the human race...
