The weekend of much productivity
Dude, I hit like cocoajava levels of productivity this weekend. It must have been the weather. Yay for sunshine and cool temperatures!

After sleeping till 1:30 pm on Friday (I'd worked hard!), I ran errands. Picked up the now fixed treadle sewing machine, hit a nursery I'd never been to and bought a bunch of seeds, and dropped off transcripts to the new job. I mixed up and kneaded some whole wheat bread dough and left it to rise overnight.

Saturday- Got up, punched down the dough, made it into loaves, let rise again, and baked. Fresh bread for lunch! Then Rob and I got really busy. We went out and ripped up grass, lots of grass, and planted sugar snap peas, chives, and a long row of baby carrots. Rob kept on ripping grass on the hellstrip. We're going to plant mint on that corner-- since it's bounded by sidewalks and the street, there's no danger of it spreading. nixieq pointed out that it will be peed on by every animal in the neighborhood, so we probably won't actually be eating any of it. But at least we won't have to mow it. Or weed it. Watched TV that night, and I worked on the set of twin bed quilts that I'm hand piecing. Also made a set of 10 icons and posted to solitarytree.

Sunday- Doesn't really count as a weekend day for me, since I work 3-11, but it's slow enough here that I've folded 21 origami seed pots out of newspaper. I'll be starting my tomatoes and lavender this week. Oh, I also cut and hung to dry all the cinnamon basil flowers. I'll be making a sachet or two for my drawers.

We're really starting to go nuts with the yard. I can't wait till all the grass is gone gone gone!

Hee, I stole your productivity. Awesome. I wish I could be you. It'd be great to get this much done every weekend. Usually I'm the lump.

I want to know more about your origami seed pots, btw!
