Yay Canada!
It looks like I might be hitting a librarian conference in Toronto in October. Is anyone on my flist there? Is there anyone you know I know who lives there? If work's going to pay for a trip, I'd like to meet up with people I like. :)

My other choice is a conference in Austin. (EEE BENSTALKING! okay, no.) I'd rather go to the Toronto one, but if I can't get approval for it, I'll go to Austin. Anyone there?

I can hear: AFI, "The Missing Frame"

Yay!!! We'll see-- Toronto is still my first choice, but I could definitely handle Austin. :) It would be October 18-20, but I'd probably come in a day early or leave a day late or something. I would love to see you!

Which conference? I'll go if it's anywhere near relevant to me and I can get my boss to pay for it.

I am close to Austin, too. :)

This one. How relevant is it? That would be so fun!

I should find out by next week if Toronto is a go or no. Apparently there are rules about international travel. I don't think Ontario should count as international, but logic is not a virtue in academia. :p

I doubt I could get the library to spring for funding, since it's not really my area. But I could always go to Austin to do research of my own that Saturday, and meet you Saturday night. I mean, if you weren't already busy with various con stuff.

My apprentice is. Wish I could hop on the plane with you. :)
