Here we go
I'm about to start making robes. I found a great eBay store that sells silk noil (soft, woven, nubbly) for cheap, and I am going to stitch up 3 robes with it. One of these I'm going to dye with natural dye made from elderberries. Whee. :)

I also picked up a bunch of different kinds of embroidery floss (rayon, linen, cotton, variegated cotton) and I'm going to stitch a bunch of sample swatches and charge for decoration. And I'm going to get business cards so people can contact me for customized robes or other clothing.

fenriss, could I ask you a big favor? Can you write up a little blurb on how much I helped you with your wedding dress, and how awesome it was? And include pictures? A picture of you two together would be nice, plus a closeup of the sleeve embroidery. I think I'll put myself out there for wedding/handfasting gowns. WTF, why not.

If nothing else, I'll earn back the money I spend on hobbies. I hope. :)

Hey, hon. I just saw this. Sorry for the lateness of my reply.

I'll be happy to write something up, certainly. Can you give me some guidance? Is this for a website or something? Anything in particular you want to make sure I say? I can rave about the creative, original blackwork design, and how intricate and elegant it is... I'm afraid the blouse is in storage, and might be in E's parent's basement. I'll try to get a picture as soon as I can. When do you need this by?
