Success on the natural dye front! The rose hips didn't seem to be giving much color, so I went to the grocery store and found annatto seed, which gives a bright orange. The hemp cloth is now a warm earthy orange, and looks great. Now I iron it and make it up into something.

I'm not really pleased with this cloth. It's been washed four times, and is still not very soft. The silk noil is coming, as is a bunch of hemp/cotton blend. That'll be more fun to work with.

Did you know Tencel and rayon are natural fabrics? They come from cellulose, i.e. wood pulp. That is awesome. In fact, Tencel is made via a process that's environmentally sound. Very cool.
