Who knits?
Okay, I've wanted a knitted blanket for a long, long time. Not crocheted, but knitted. WANT. Does anyone knit? And would you be willing to trade a knitted blanket (twin bed size) for a quilt of whatever size? Cause y'know, I don't have enough quilts going. :)

Are we talking any specific patterns or just literally a straight knit? (And I can't confirm this, but I think something that big would require more than one piece of knitting. Maybe 2 combined would be large enough if a larger knitting needle is used.)

Yeah, just a straight knit. I have no idea what would be required, since I have never gotten the hang of knitting. :)

Dude zbyszko is, like, the queen of knitting. No contest. Maker of Woolly Ryans extraordinaire, and seriously, a wizard with the needles. You should go ask her...

Hee, was just about to say the same!

She totally is, I agree, but this seems like an awfully big thing to ask of her. :)

muse_neko and I both knit. She's busy working on other commissions at the moment (I believe) but after the holidays I would be willing to consult with you regarding a trade.

Re: Knitting
What she said. :3 I'm working on a queen-sized comforter of my own design and it can, indeed, be done in one piece. The question is how quickly do you want it? Of course, if you don't mind having it done in several pieces, laitaine2004 and I may be able to tag team and just seam it up at the end. ^__~

Re: Knitting
Ack! So many people offering, I don't know who to choose!

Time isn't really a factor, but I'd like to have it before next winter, I think.

I'm using several of my afghans as blankets on my bed right now. Easy as anything to knit- circular needles work great for bigger projects. I do have stuff to make that I have promised other people but as long as there is no time limit, it wouldn't be a problem.

I also knit, and am in fact capable of making a blanket that size. However, I have two blanket orders already on my stack, and no money with which to accomplish them. Boo. XD If you're willing to wait until I've gotten those squared away, I'd be happy to work out a trade with you? ^^;

I could give you money for materials, and we could trade work with the dress I'm making you. How does that sound?

That sounds fabulous :-) We could so do that.
