i_aldarion has volunteered to knit me my blanket, which works out well, because I'm already making him a dress. Thank you very much to everyone who offered! *hugs flist*

I won't go into great detail on my holiday experience. It was fairly non-stressful, so that was nice. Oh, and I got a bodhran! Now I just have to learn to play it. And find someone to play bagpipes for me. Actually, now that I think of it, there's a bagpipe band somewhere in town-- I heard them practicing once.

Today I am at work, but only for 5 hours, which leaves me the afternoon for stuff. A little shopping, maybe. Some sort of sewing, definitely. I found a quilt pattern that will use up a bunch of fabric that I had no idea what to do with, so I need to spend hours ironing each piece, then cutting, then (eventually) sewing. I also want to cut out the blocks I need for one of my SIL's quilts. (I have 3 SILs, each of whom is getting a quilt eventually. All are in some stage of production.) This is assuming I don't fall over in exhaustion, as I have for the past two days. Damn this female body.

Something may happen on Jan. 2. Something good. I hate waiting.
I'm at: Work
I feel: achy
I can hear: Earshot, "Not Afraid"

for the Bohran... look for anyplace in town that hs irish traditional music. Bagpipes bands usually use modern snare drums.

I have a friend that started out playing pennywhistle in an irish tradiional group, and picked up hte bohran!
