The point is not even a dot to her
A review of Watchmen from a batshit conservative.

A few lines of dialogue by the character "Rorschach" deriding "liberals and intellectuals" doesn't excuse the nearly three hours of poison here.

Yes, if only the whole movie had been Rorschach deriding liberals and intellectuals! Then it would have been the Best Movie Evar!

From the comments:
Deb, HOLLYWOOD HAS NEVER GOTTEN IT NOR WILL THEY EVER GET IT UNTIL THE BIG ONE STRIKES UNDERNEATH L-A DESTROYING THE MOVIE/TV STUDIO AND HOPEFULLY SENDING THE ACTORS TO THE DEATHS IN HELL!

All those glorifying violence should be shot!

LISTEN UP U.S. OF ANARCHY, I HAVE A QUESTION WHO MADE YOU SO PERMISSIVE IN THIS SOCIETY PERVERT?!?!? AND WHY DO YOU HATE THIS COUNTRY?! ANSWER MY QUESTION, JERK AND DO NOT GIVE DEBBIE A BAD TIME!

Yeah, U.S., why DO you hate America?? Answer me that! You can't, can you? I won an argument on the Intarwebz!

As a boy, I used to collect comic books with superheroes and what was always clear to me is there was no doubt back then as to who won and who lost. Good, justice and the American way always triumphed. We miss that sense of certainty today, which our culture no longer esteems - and we're the poorer for it.

I miss my lies, my precious, precious lies...

So I have seen this comment several times so far:
"And is on Time's list of the best novels since 1923", really, a late 80's comic book has been on Times best list since 1923, what are you stupid.

*smothers laughter* Why yes. Yes I am. Good thing you are skilled in reading comprehension to notice my mistake. Hee hee hee.

The scary thing is that if my dad ever saw Watchmen, that woman's reaction is almost exactly like the one he'd have. Which is why I'm never letting him see it.

He liked the soundtrack, though.

But yeah, when I went to see it, there were at least three or four sets of parents who brought their young kids to the showing. And I'm sitting there like "...wtf? Did you not look into the movie, or did you think it was just another Spiderman?"
