We're taking a trip down to Florida in about a month to see some property. It's about an hour from Orlando, but is in a rural area, zoned ag, which is what we want.

Our realtor says it's 23 acres. The listing says 1001880 square feet. If an acre is 14560 square feet, doesn't that make it around 68 acres? Or am I doing the math wrong?

*wants vast acres*

This is the house I want to build. Under 1800 square feet. Not too much to cool. And a beautiful front porch. *wants*

It also has a matching garage. *loves*

The roof may be too steep for a solar array. Not sure.

Middle of nowhere FL. I want to be there.

According to this site, one acre=43,560 square feet.

But yes, if one acre did equal 14,560 square feet? Then it would be 68 acres. Your math was correct; your conversion factor was wrong!

That house is beautiful. I hope your dreams are realized.

Aha! THAT'S what went wrong. Oh well, 23 acres is still not bad.

Thank you for the good wishes. :) I'm sorry it's not in NS, but it's much less scary, not having to deal with immigration and stuff.

I still want to come up there someday.

If you and Rob make it up here, you have to let me know. We'll go to my favourite pub and listen to awesome Maritime music!
