Last night, Rob and I went to a Marillion concert (which was acoustic-y, and wonderful and gorgeous, way better than the last show of theirs I saw), and the opener was Vienna Teng.

Wow. She is GOOD. Kind of like Tori Amos, back when she was good. Like Vanessa Carlton, only with a stronger voice and better lyrics. I bought Vienna's first album immediately, and I'm ordering the second today. Go buy her music!

Harbor is the last song she played. I must vid this song. I don't know what fandom, what pairing, but it screams to be vidded.

Homecoming is subtitled "Walter's Song." So mswalter, you at least have to listen to this.

She has an amazing voice! Let me know how you like her albums(s), I am always looking for new music. I am currently pretty much burnt out on most of what we own.

Yay! Thank you for sharing.

'Harbor' is cool, although the timing in the chorus doesn't immediately work for me. I'll give it a couple more listens though.

'Homecoming' is amazing. Just... dang. (Good thing I keep tissues at my desk.) Makes me think of both Sarah McLachlan, and Holly Cole.

Good rec, thank you.    :)

the opener was Vienna Teng

*jealous* She came to the Somerville Theater not too long ago and I couldn't get the money together for tix (having tix to a show in the same week from long ago contributed). I've been listening to her stuff for about three years now, mostly via her Web site. Nice, but I like the first album better than recent stuff.
