Random bits...

feels_like_fire, you need to click here.

Cleaning goes very, very slowly. Today I am recaulking the bathtub and cleaning the grout in the bathroom.

Staying home like this, I have found that my dog is far more barky than I'd realized. She barks at cars passing by, at people, squirrels, random sounds, and of course the mailman. The mailman is her baby with one eyebrow.

OC people: who's going to the premiere in NYC? Who's going to the Red Bank showing? I really should only go to one of the two. Any idea which one Ben might be at? Probably NYC, right? It's easier to get to the city. I can take the train, which I love doing.

The grout is not getting clean. Anyone know where I would buy a bleach pen? That's my final resource; otherwise, it's going to have to stay stained.

For cleaning grout it sometimes works to take an old toothbrush and dip it in a dilute bleach solution.

I'm using a stiff nylon brush and this non-bleach grout cleaner that says it gets rid of stains. It's working on the dirt, but not the stains. How diluted should the bleach be, do you think? I usually end up chasing myself out of the bathroom, choking on the bleach fumes. :)

I'm going to leave it for a while and start carving the old caulk out. Whee, my butch side is showing. :)

ooh, sexy.

Uh, I have no idea how dilute the bleach should be. There might be info on the bleach bottle or you might borrow a copy of How to Clean Anything or similar tome from your library.

When I worked at Disney, we had something called GelPro that would clean ANYTHING. I googled it to see what the active ingredient is, since I don't think you'd be able to get the actual product on the open market. What's showing up is that it's a chlorinated alkaline detergent (not that that would do you any good). I don't remember what the hell was in it... I just remember that it cleaned everything.
