I'll do a real update soon, I swear. But we're cleaning and disposing of things, and here are a couple which should not be thrown away:

I'm not posting a pic because I don't have one, and we're cleaning, and I'm too busy. This is a Mikado-type kimono, orange-red, with flowers in black, yellow, and purple, and HUGE cranes embroidered in gold thread. The inside is a shimmery orange. There are some mildew stains (I got the mildew out, but the stains remain), but they aren't obvious and could be taken care of with fabric paint. The hem is padded and weighted so the train spreads out. It's great for theater groups, or just for dressing up. All you pay is the cost of shipping-- just tell me you want it and it's yours.

13" screen. Intel Celeron processor, 650 MHz, 64 MB memory, expandable to 320 MB. 8x DVD-ROM, 6 gig HD, floppy drive. 56K modem. Runs Windows ME. Includes video and audio cable that will output to RCA. Includes manuals.

This goes not to the first to claim it, but to someone who really needs a computer, and doesn't mind an older one. If you are such a person, or know someone who is, let me know the story. Cost of shipping only.

There are more computers (older ones) to be posted. I'm not sure if anyone will want them, but just in case, I'll put them up here before taking them to the electronics recycling place.

White size is the kimono? What material is it made out of?

It's, uh, big. It fits me with room to spare, and the train is about a foot and a half behind me. I don't know what size, because it was made for a theater group, and somehow I ended up with it.

The outer fabric feels like some sort of heavy matte synthetic. I can't tell any better than that. The lining feels like moire satin, but doesn't have a moire pattern as such. I don't know what's between them, but it's heavy enough that it feels like there's an interlining.

speaking of which, now that my car is working again, what would be a good day this week for me to come down there?

Whee! Um, Tuesday or Wednesday would be nice. :) You should see the basement! It's all clean! Well, almost. :)
