It's raining more now than it has all year. And the roof has sprung a leak. TWO DAYS before we leave. A leak. In the roof. It's raining too much for Rob to go up on the roof and try to fix it. He tried patching it from the inside, but the leak is still leaking.

The door he rehung won't close, because it's level and the doorjamb isn't. Apparently it's shifted in the last 4 years.

There are loud crashing sounds coming from downstairs. I don't think I want to go down and see what's going on.

Anyone in this area: could you please come help us? We need help. Bad.

New list:

Attach molding to basement walls (Rob)
Attach threshold molding to basement floor (Rob)
Clean out fridge and cupboards (me)
Sand and repaint doorjamb (me)
Go through house, throw out everything that's left (me)

Finish all basement molding (Rob)
Caulk basement areas (Rob)
Replace ceiling panels (me)
Take remaining furniture and giveaways to thrift store (me)

Pack car (both)
Buy roof rack if necessary (both)
Call junk haulers to take all the crap away (me)

I could say that I would come if I were there. But what good is that, exactly? :)

I know you would, though, and it's nice to have friends like that. :)
