Awwww yeah.

This morning, Rob and I decided we would give $6000 cash back to the buyer for regrading the backyard, and for whatever other repairs (water heater, gas line) need doing. That's fair. If he wants to spend it on a useless sump pump instead, he's free to do that. But we aren't going to subsidize it. He tried to get us to go up to $7000. Nuh-uh. Fair is fair.

He took it. :D

We are closing on November 18, and we will NOT be giving him $11,500. HAH!

In other news, yup, it was definitely PMS. :)

Tomorrow I sign the papers and begin working on my interview/negotiation/job search skills. They also help you determine what in a job will make you happy, and what you really want to do. That is what I need. So yay me!

go you guys for not letting them bully you! i'm glad you found a compromise you were okay with. (i'm not gonna go so far as "happy", since i imagine giving him $6,000 didn't exactly make you happy, but obviously you're not feeling railroaded and ripped off.)

best of luck w/ the job hunt, um, thingy. oh, if i had a couple thousand to blow, it would SO go into something like that. i will be sending crazy good vibes your way on this! >:D

Congrats! As someone desperately looking to leave a local, I have a sense of what a relief this all is, especially that you sold the house and that the paper-signing is imminent.

YAY for getting the chance to find a job that will make you happy.

{{{HUG}}} Also, I = lame for not returning your call; I'll try to e soonly, or call for proper conversation when I have a life again (ie post-show).

Yay! I'm glad you managed to get a deal that made you happy. And doubly glad the deal is done. Now you can look forward instead of back. It's good!
