Oh, and...
I start a month-long attorney temp job at the big firm I interviewed at on Tuesday.

This means, of course, I didn't get the job I interviewed for. However, temping has in the past led to better (permanent) things for me. I hope this does too. In any case, I'll be able to pay off some credit card debt and pay the mortgage for a month. Woo!

Temping has taken me down the path to all my decent jobs in my life, seriously.

I started at Michigan State University as a temp in our Service-Learning Center (organizes volunteer opportunities for students). As I got myself known around the building, I was considered when a full time position came up. It's definitely a way of getting your face OUT there and getting known.

Huh, I didn't know they had temp attorneys, but congrats on having something to do with money coming in!

Congrats and good luck! I got my first job out of college by temping at it...you just never know, you know. :)

Yay, temping! I got my current job via temping. I hope things go well for you, hon. *hugs*

Congratulations! This is much better than being unemployed, obviously, even if it's not The Dream Job. May it lead you to bigger and better things.

Yay! My job-mojo worked! (not, perhaps, in the BEST way, but it worked! ;-D)
I'm happy for you!

Yes, it wasn't what you wanted, but this has to reduce the incipient panic related to having bills, but no income. And it is seems like it is always easier to find a job when you are working.
