Why I like Orlando better than DC
This is the view of the city from my (temporary) office window:

Visibility for 10 miles. And it's almost all trees.

From the Vail Valley, Co? I can tell you that 10 miles...ain't nothing!

Visibility in clear air is about 90 miles. Average visibility in the Western U.S. is about 70 miles (in large part because so many areas are undeveloped). In cities and back east it is lower, of course, due to particulates in the air.

I imagine in Vail Valley you get pretty close to 90 miles when the clouds aren't in the way.

:P I saw snow in your pictures! Snow in May!

Also I don't like mountains. I always feel like I'm going to fall off them. Give me flat, flat land. :)

Hee! Snow! In May! Gotta love it!

Or I do...coming from NEBF GA, where it was just about getting unbearable.

But, seriously, it's only in the mountain passes and you only have to encounter it if you want/have to go to Denver or shop the outlets in Silverthorne or whatever.

The weather here in the valley is in the 70s. Just. Gorgeous.

And...valley...so no feeling like you're gonna fall off. Though I do hear you...when you talk about the mountains. And running.

Oy! Altitude!

*waves at lugonn*

I hope you don't mind if I friend you...I certainly do run into you enough...
