Why I like Orlando better than DC  
This is the view of the city from my (temporary) office window:



Visibility for 10 miles. And it's almost all trees.

That's based on what the weather report said. I take no responsibility. :) Don't unload on me. I'm too zorked to take it. Also I'm feeling more and more upset about the NSA spying on me. A lot.

Ah. A few years back the NWS stopped taking readings for visibility beyond 10 miles. So a report of 10 miles means 10 or more miles. This is sad because it means that this record of the increasing levels of particulate pollution that impair visibility will be lost.
If one were cynical, one would think that this change was made so that it was easier to mask the increasing levels of pollution. This is especially significant because certain provisions of the Clean Air Act relating to visibility in Class I areas has caused several corporate interests big money. This change made them safer.
